Recently I looked for some CDs of women comediennes on Amazon since I had comedy CDs mostly of men so I wanted to balance that some. I came across RAUNCHIEST WOMEN OF COMEDY and decided to give it a try even though I had not heard any of the 4 women on it. The CD was recorded live at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, seemingly in 1997 from the copyright date, and the 4 women appearing on stage that night, one at a time, were Andrea Abbate, Felicia Michaels, Sheila Kay, and Carole Montgomery. Overall the ladies are quite funny, sometimes very funny. I laugh through most of the CD, which runs about 66 minutes, with the ladies talking from 13 to 23 minutes each. The CD DOES live up to its title for sure, but the women really don't go over-the-top with it since even though they discuss sex in graphic detail, they don't usually go for "perverted" humor like incest or bestiality. They do drop the "F" bomb a lot and use a lot of slang terms for sexual organs and so on. I'm glad that there's not much scatological humor here since I don't care for that. Also, they do tease men a good deal and get sexist at times, which I'm pretty touchy about since I used to have a very sexist woman boss. Even so, I don't find that the ladies on this CD are terribly sexist, so I usually find their remarks about men to be humorous rather than insulting. For example, they don't tend to make sexist comments that "all men" do this and that wrong, with Felicia Michaels being most guilty of that. As Carole Montgomery says, although not in these exact words, "Hey, if I didn't like men I'd be having sex with women!"Sound quality is very good, and with a good balance between the comediennes and the audience. In addition to the cover photo of the 4 ladies, there's another one inside, and the back cover has a photo and short description of each of them, although there's not a booklet included. And by the way, if you'd like to hear 30-second samples of the tracks on this, go to the MP3 page of it on Amazon, which is linked at the top of this page. Oddly, there are only 5 tracks on the CD, 1 track for the introduction and 1 for each of the women, but the MP3 page has samples of a lot more tracks than that. So, if you don't mind graphic sex talk, some sexist comments about men (mostly from Felicia Michaels), and a lot of salty language such as the "F" word, this is quite a funny CD.
