'Cool Hand Luke' Director: Stuart Rosenberg (1967) restoration. Includes commentary and documentary
Brilliantly entertaining film with many memorable scenes and characters built around the theme of one man's refusal to conform. Following the petty crime of destroying parking meters Luke, a wonderfully charismatic and laconic Paul Newman, is sentenced to two years in a rural prison. He refuses to buckle to authority. Strother Martin and George Kennedy give great performances in key supporting roles.
