Remastered, from what I understand, and there's no doubt that the troupe's lines are usually there to be "deciphered" (if you aren't British, and weren't born in the '40s), if you listen closely. These guys influenced radio and television comedy for decades to come (in fact, their influence is still being felt); this will give you some idea of why that is.
